Vulcan’s Infrared Ovens are modular catalytic systems that replace convection ovens with fully reflected IR technology. These systems provide up to 50% savings over existing convection BTU consumption, with the added benefits of faster line speeds, and elimination of cross contamination.

Natural gas fired catalytic heaters apply heat directly to the surface of the coated part. This flameless, patented technology produces a uniform, low intensity heat, in the form of long to medium wavelength of Infrared energy.

Ovens can be provided as a stand-alone booster/gel oven or inserted into the entrance of a convection oven.

Utilizing IR generated by Vulcan’s catalytic heaters, rather than convection and conduction for the transfer of heat, Vulcan Infrared Ovens only heat the powder coated surface of the part rather than bring the entire part up to the cure temperature.

Fully modular and easily integrated into existing curing applications, they offer precise, repeatable PLC control.

Blowers or re-circulating fans are eliminated; further reducing energy and maintenance costs.

Vulcan offers retrofit systems to replace existing electric IR systems to gas catalytic, here the energy and maintenance cost savings are dramatic, payback is typically under 2-years, based upon energy costs with many utilities providing rebates incentives to accelerate the return on investment.
